Teacher-Parent Communication
This evidence based project was inspired by my experience of entering education without preparation for teacher-parent communication.
1) Research - I reviewed selected ESL/TEFL providers within the UK, parent-communication training was not explicitly listed in several course outlines. One exception was Oxford TEFL’s specialist Teaching Teens course.
2) Needs analysis - I interviewed a large group of educational professionals with direct experience of ESL/EFL training.
This informed a general training need: additional practice responding to parent concerns.
